Lobster Rolls

This is one of the most classic Maine Lobster dishes out there, it is also (in my opinion) the greatest way to eat Maine Lobster that comes to you direct from Trap to Table™.  Everyone has their own variation to how to make a Maine Lobster Roll, but here, we’ve made the traditional, most basic recipe. Some people like to add a layer of lettuce underneath the meat to give it a little crunch – or add some diced celery to the salad mix. Whichever way you prefer, this is a great place to start!

Be sure to start with cooked Maine Lobster meat. You can use Raw meat and start by Butter Poaching it or you can use our cooked Maine Lobster meat.

You will only need a few ingredients to start

* a couple of top-split hot dog buns

* 7 oz. Cooked Maine Lobster meat

* Mayonnaise

* A sliver of butter (to get a perfect toast on your buns)

Start by chopping your Maine Lobster meat into small pieces, in a bowl, mix with a tablespoon of mayonnaise and set aside. Heat a large pan over medium heat, put butter on one side of each bun and place down on the hot pan. When it’s nice and brown, put butter on the other side and flip the buns over, heat until brown on both sides.

Remove from heat and carefully open the tops, place half of your Maine Lobster salad into each bun – you now have a perfect Maine Lobster Roll. If you decided to spice up your Lobster Roll, add your additional ingredients into the Lobster/Mayo mix. Serve it up with a side salad or some French fries for a complete Maine meal.
